ASIC was established in 2001 in accordance with the Australian Securities Investment Commission Act approved by the Parliament.

Financial Markets Authority
The Financial Markets Authority of New Zealand (FMA) and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ), these two regulatory agencies constitute the New Zealand financial market regulatory system. FMA was established in 2011 under the "Financial Market Authority Act of 2011". FMA replaced the original Securities Commission and took over part of the functions of the New Zealand Government’s Economic Development Department. In particular, FMA can supervise the New Zealand government’s budget and also performs part of the company registration function.

The National Futures Association of the United States is a non-commercial independent regulatory agency that supervises the derivatives industry in the United States. It is a for-profit membership organization. The scope of supervision includes futures trading, retail foreign exchange, and over-the-counter derivatives. For more than 30 years since its establishment, NFA has insisted on maintaining the ethics of the futures market, harmonizing and uniting, protecting the interests of investors, and supervising members' compliance with regulatory responsibilities.
